Mining Museum
It is located in Adamas and aims to present the mining tradition. Created in 1998 with the support of the company S & B Industrial Minerals SA to honor and promote the long mining history of the island.
Its purpose is:
1. To honor and present, the 11,000 years of mining history, and the geological and natural heritage of the island.
2. To present the social, economic and technological dimensions of the mining history and tradition of the island.
3. Provide a benchmark of traditional tourism on the island.
Permanent Collection
It consists of tools, machinery for processing, storage and transportation of minerals, lab instruments, objects, manuscripts, photo gallery, and representative samples of minerals, rocks, minerals and fossils of the island. The collection is completed with the mineral collection of the Museum, which hosts and samples from known mining centers of our country such as Lavrion, Halkidiki, Serifos, etc.
